Cannot Sell House Sooner Than Expected

There are a lot of factors as to how things do not turn out the way that you want them to. Of course, it is pretty normal for every person to think that they will have to mourn about the losses, to grieve over the things that they are not able to get, to feel frustrated that at some point in their lives they are not winners. It is pretty normal as everyone has to face defeat every now and then. Defeats could come in different forms- from losing a tennis match to losing money, from ranking lowest in an exam to flopping in an attempt to sell a property. Often, you would think that it is quite normal to get these things over and done with but then if you are in the shoes of people whose lives are dedicated to something, you will understand why such defeat is quite difficult to get over with. For instance, you hear a frustrated friend rant: I can’t sell my house! It has been in market for a year already and still there are not too many people who are interested. The initial reaction would be to console the person and tell him/her to try new things to facilitate that selling. But can you give steps that will work for that person? Or you will just bluff around? Why not share these few things?

Check your marketing media. It could be that you are ranting: “I just can t sell my house” but it will turn out that you are advertising your home in the wrong space. It is like you are advertising in a newspaper classified when everyone has gone online! Aside from wasting money paying for that space, you will never really earn a prospective client because no one is reading the classified ad space anymore!

The price could be too much. What if you only have a bungalow and you are selling the property for the same price as the market value of a two-storey, newly-built house. Now, the price does not seem to suit that of what your market could pay for. Every person would be thinking if they can spend for a house that price and if it will be worth the price at all. If your friend would keep on saying: I can’t sell my house because no one is interested… then let him/her check the price that he/she has set.

Watch over the real estate listing or agent you are associating yourself with. There are times when people do not really check on the available properties in certain listings because of various factors and the most famous of these are: high price rate, bad taste of house selections and reported case of fraud. Now, if your friend will tell you that he or she cannot sell house, ask about the listing where he/she has listed because that will also add a vital role in the trust rating of people.

Lastly, your friend could be saying: “Well I can’t sell my house despite associating myself with a good and credible agent” so on and so forth… because he/she could not see that the problem lies on the home itself. What if the house is too far from hospitals, schools and other important offices? Surely, that is another factor that would be looked into by every person who wishes to purchase a property.
